Alex is based in the East of England and is a self-professed Jack of all trades (and still a master of none). Having asked for a typewriter for Christmas when she was four years old, she ended up in a variety of careers including forensics, teaching, PR and wielding custard flamethrowers. Always writing in her spare time, and into the wee hours of the night, she writes sci-fi, thriller, fantasy and steampunk stories (occasionally all these genres at the same time). Currently working on a time-travel steampunk novel, you’ll find her tied up in timelines, getting thoroughly confused (so nothing new there) and making her mother listen as they try and figure out how to untangle it all again.
