Katie Ess hails from Grand Junction, CO. She started writing stories when she was seven years old, but took a hiatus after school to get settled in her “day job.” Now, she’s coming back to writing again. She has been published in Suddenly and Without Warning and Siren’s Call, and she has work featured in Spread: Tales of Deadly Flora. She hopes that if she writes down all the stories that are stuck in her head, she’ll have more room to remember the responsible adult things she’s supposed to be doing.
