About the Author – John Haas

John Haas is a Canadian author living in Ottawa, Ontario. He was born and raised in Montreal before moving to Calgary where he lived for twelve wonderful years. Now he is in the nation’s capital but still misses seeing the Rockies in the distance.
John has been writing for most of his life but only became serious about being published in the last decade or so. In that time he has had fifteen short stories published in various excellent publications, written one children’s book, and has one story being produced as a podcast. In August of 2017 his first novel “The Reluctant Barbarian” was published by Renaissance Press.
He continues to work toward a sustainable full-time writing career (rich and famous would be nice, but not necessary).
He lives with his extremely supportive wife, who gives him lots of time to write, and his two wonderful sons, who give him lots of motivation.
